Professional career

Thomas Kritzner gained a degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) specialising in production technology and machine tools. He started his career in 1987 working for Robert Bosch GmbH in the automotive division in Germany and France.

In 1994, he gained a degree in engineering management (Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing.), specialising in financial control/corporate law before taking on project and management responsibility for operational restructuring in medium-sized production companies, initially as a management consultant for TÜV Rheinland then from 1995 as head of production and managing director of a German production company owned by Wella AG.

From 2000, he was chief technology officer with global responsibility for technical planning and for equipping all the production plants in the corporate division.

In 2003, he joined IWKA AG, Karlsruhe where he was responsible for expanding the packaging equipment division.

From 2006, he was senior manager in the operations management practice of management consultancy firm, Arthur D. Little GmbH, Germany where he was involved in turnaround and profit-enhancement projects in Europe.

From 2008, he was director of operations & supply chain management at Elster Messtechnik GmbH (Elster Group) with responsibility for its German production sites, procurement, logistics and IT.

Since 2010, he has been a self-employed interim manager.
