Professional career

After gaining a degree in economics and electrical engineering at the University of Darmstadt and doctorate at Yale University and the University of Darmstadt, he worked as a consultant and senior consultant for The Boston Consulting Group.

Following a post as business development director for Giesecke & Devrient, Munich, Germany, he established Mindworks Group AG, Munich (international outsourcing of software developement) in 1998 and sold the company in 2003.

He joined T-Systems (Deutsche Telekom AG) as executive vice president (strategy/business development) in 2004.

After working as director of business planning & execution for SAP AG, Walldorf, he has been a full-time professor of international and corporate management at FOM (University of Applied Sciences and Management) in Munich since the end of 2007.

He also works as a corporate consultant and management coach.
